If your frame is an SB-2 you can fit other barrels to it, as ong as the manufacture date is appropriate to do so.  Info is in the FAQ's at the top of this section.  A muzzle loader barrel is not available any longer from NEF.  You will have to find one on the classifieds and fit it yourself, or luck up on a complete rifle on a shelf somewhere.

Yes

You will need to find a muzzleloader barrel (I am assuming you want a .50 cal) either from a Huntsman or Sidekick. The fit to your frame may or may not be real good. You will then have to either carefully remove material from the barrel or add shims to make it fit tight depending on the original fit.

A Huntsman barrel will fit.  A Sidekick will not.  Because the Sidekick frame will not accept other barrels it is not a firearm.  The Huntsman frame will interchange with rifle and shotgun barrels and that makes it a firearm.  The only barrel that will fit a .223 frame is a Huntsman.

I am going to correct you just a tad Pete. "The only barrel that will fit a .223 frame is a Huntsman." The only one that will fit is a .50 cal Huntsman. Kurt

I'd post it in the "Want to Buys" here and see what you can come up with.  I'd never sell mine.

Just for bits and gets, here is my new muzzleloader. I gave up on finding a huntsmen barrel and made my own. 45/70 on a xxxHY 223 frame. Ram rod is a Rossi, brass, collapsable in a pouch on the sling.

Go check out the Huntsman/Sidekick forum, you'll find there are lots of things they'd like to see changed.
