I have read a couple of times about a .35 Rem/.444 combo coming out but can not find who is selling it. Does anyone have any more info on it? I did buy a 45/70 TALO about 2 weeks ago and thought that those two calibers would be nice to have with it. The TALO has opened up a whole new world for me as this is the first handi that I have really played with  :). Of course, I had to buy a reloading kit too and since I'm at it I might as well reload for a couple of more calibers ;D. I'm still fixing my 45/70 to my specs having changed the recoil pad to a Limbsaver and mounting a Weaver 1x3 scope on it this week. I have only shot it 4 times but man, what a fun gun to shoot ;D. I cannnot see such a combination being offered. I know it is supposed to be out there now or soon but have not actually heard from anyone that has seen or bought one. It reminds me of the way Cableision operates, they have a few good channels but you cannot get them all in one package. They bundle one or two good channels with a bunch of worthless ones and make you buy them all to get the couple you you want. You end up buying about 3 or 4 packages with about 100 or 200 channels to get the 8 or 10 channels you watch, the rest are a waste. The only good thing I can see from this is if the combination spoken of is really offered hopefully some day the .35 Remington barrel may be availabe through the barrel progrem. I have my .35 Remington barrel which was rechambered by Wayne from a .357 Mag barrel and it is really a great caliber in a Handi....<><....:)

Ellett Brothers lists it out of stock, whether it's something new, special order, or something that never happened I have no idea, until someone has one in their hands or confirms it for delivery, we'll just have to wait. They do have a lot of H&Rs in stock tho.

Thanks for the replies. The first I saw about them was on the Marlin owner's forum posting by Jake. Funny thing, Jake posted about the .357 TALO and I found the 45/70 version and decided I wanted one. I'm afraid that I've been bitten by the Handi bug because of it  ;D. I've already been infected with the Marlin bug and I must have a low immunity because of it. After all, they have the same parent company so the strains must be closely related  :D. Seems like a great backwoods combo. Especially if you reload, then you can get loads down to .38/.44 Special levels.

Not to be a .45-70 adict, but I'd just get that.  It'll do as much or more than the .35 or .444.  Just load it as you like it.

What would be the fun of doing that Pete?  ;D I have all three, but have to admit I do favor the 45-70 and have several of em, ya can't just have one, afterall!!  8)

Maybe they are doing the old Ruger trick.  Advertise it for a year and see how many distributor orders they get. THEN make the production decision ;)

Yup, just like they did with the Handi-Mags in late 2007 and the 35 Remington Handi in 2008, some dealers still list the Handi-Mags and none were ever made!!  ::)

It may be NIB, but it's not a "new" combo, it's a 2007, look at the serial number prefix, Mac bought one a few years ago, I bought the  270 fluted bull barrel and frame from him.
