year prefix
« on: May 26, 2010, 04:43:59 PM »
Hi I have a pre 1986 HR topper 20 ga.  I got it as a Christmas present in a the early 80's.  It was my first gun and I'm sure it was bought new.  I noticed the ser. no. doesn't match the year prefix on FAQ.  My ser. no. is BA55XXXX. Did I miss something on FAQ? Any ideas?

Nice to find someone else with the weird #at least now I know they made some BA's!! Mine is a BB Hornet let me know if you find any other information as just you posting your # has given me twice the information that I have been able to find on these Ser# in 3+yrs!! The factories will not touch or talk about them. They seem to of come out either just after just before or during the old H&R lawsuit bankruptsy.Kurt
