Nice report.

The older I get the more fun the older cartridges become. Sounds like you have a keeper!

I still have a couple of barrels that I have not shot, but all that I have spent much time with have been accurate with more than one load or have been very accurate with 1 load that may take some work to find.  As you can see below, I have a couple of the Handi's and the 22's and 22 mags are little tack drivers when you find the ones they like.  I have one of my 223's at my cabin and took a T/C contender up to play with this weekend, the Handi did better with loads it liked than the T/C.  Not by much, but at 208 yd it won.  My regular Sportster 22 mag really suprised me on how well it did at 100 yd.  DP
RIP Oct 27, 2017

Your results with SR 7625 surprise me. When I tried it in .38 spl. I got wild velocity swings, over 100 fps e.s., and found it to be highly position sensitive. With the large capacity of the .45 Colt case, I figured it would do the same there.
I might have to try it again in the .45 Colt. Great powder for .39 Super and 9mm.

Unique is one of my favorites for years now. It 'may' not be the most accurate, but Im the biggest accuracy problem, most of the time anyway, so who knows. It is a consistent good performer for me, from light to mid-range and beyond loads ( I dont tend to load heavy for anything anymore where a different powder should be better). A lot of loads for the cost of a pound and after you get the level of load you want you can try other powders to do as well, but why bother, just go shoot.

Is that 39 Super supposed to read 38 Super?

Yeah, the .39 Super makes the .38 Super look like a cap gun. :)

It's a great round because it falls between the .38 & the .40. :-\

Yep, that .39 is fantastic. ;)

Not that it had anything to do with the thread, but this comparison table shows little difference in the Corbon 38 Super+P and 39 Super+P, they don't list the 39 Super tho, just the +P.

Nice report, I've had good luck with Unique myself using Hornady 250 grain XTP JHP bullets.
