Yes, it's not a problem, I've shipped a couple myself, there are no restrictions on most gun parts sent by individuals, dealers are different tho. This only applies to parts that wouldn't need to be shipped to an FFL here in the US like receivers/frames.

Tim,

Do you know if a US citizen can legally ship rifle (centerfire) ammo to a Canadian citizen?  If not, can you ship brass & bullets without primers or powder?

Why be difficult, when with a little extra effort you can be impossible?

Brass and bullets can be shipped, firearms are listed as prohibited by the USPS except as listed.

Firearms, except as follows: Firearms may be mailed to Canada provided that they meet the requirements in DMM 601.11.1, 601.11.2, 601.11.3, and 601.11.6 and that the importer has the required documentation. Customers must visit http://cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5044-eng.html prior to mailing for Canadian import requirements.

I had a barrel come north without any problem.  Actually came quicker than I thought it would.  Buying it privately is the best way and can be sent through mail.  Brass and bullets can be mailed the same way.

Just package it. Take to the Post Office, pay for shipping and get proper labels.  I used tracking to keep up with where it was.  Like Cliff said, went quicker than either of us expected.  BTW, hope you are enjoying the barrel Cliff.

FWIW, as I recently learned, the 'international MO' I received from Duetchebank (sp?), a truely recognized and world wide bank, also cost me an extra $5 fee at my CU for 'processing'. Isnt this all done with computers in this 'information age' anyway?, but I digress.
So, if you are doing any international stuff it will likely cost you more, consider that when you make you post or work the deal.
