marlin 30as date of manufacture

I have a marlin 30as and i was wondering the date of manufacture. I tried the faq's and no luck. It's a 30-30 with microgroove rifling and a crossbolt safety. Birch stock and foregrip with checkering. First two digits of the serial are 05. If that helps.

   You can confirm on Marlinowners.com, but I believe your 05 is going to place it at 1995.  My ser begins at 94 and indicates 2006 date.  Richard
