SNOW IN NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS THIS WEEKEND?
« on: March 19, 2010, 03:28:31 PM »
So much for global warming I guess. We're expecting to get 2" to 4" of snow this weekend, and Oklahoma 28 miles away is under a Winter Storm WARNING, with blizzard like conditions. Man the weather here has sure changed in the last 3 or 4 years.

Yeah we got a late March snow last year too. Weather's changin down here. It gets really hotter in the summers with more humidity the last two years to. Really miserable last year.

In the winter some of your stuff drifts our way, this probably will in the form of rain. We are supposed to get rain Sunday.

Looks like you have got a nice ride to get around in the snow.  Talking to a friend earlier that lives in Guymon, OK, and he said they were expecting 10 inches there...

Wish you guys would divert it up here, we are in the middle of a snow drought.  The snow in my front yard is just over my ankles, it should be mid thigh this time of year.  My septic system is frozen due to the lack of snow, nothing over it to keep it warm.  I'm supposed to go into the mountains next week on snow machines.  Going to be a rough ride with so little snow.  Need to go out and look for Wolves, it's that time of year.

Yeah this is just crazy insaine for it to be snowing on the 20th of March here in DFW!  I am kinda thinking I need to be driving my big honking SUV and generating some green house gasses so we can thaw out here for a change.  With all the precip we have had this winter I am kinda thinking just about any day now I am going to come home and find an old white beared man in my back yard building a wooden boat too!  I guess drought conditions are out of the question at this point this summer...

Dee, you might try lightin off some of that mule flatulence.  It might warm things up for a bit.  Anyway, we're having summer up here in the PNW.

Well just looked at the therm o meter, and it's now 33 degrees with a lot of wind. According to radar the snow is about 45 miles west of us or less by now. We shall see.

Hasn't really hit here in central OK. as hard as they predicted, but the day is still young.
Woke up to blowing snow and about an inch on the ground.
Last night they were saying it probably wouldn't really hit us until about 1:00 this afternoon.
We'll see. Just the same though I'm really tried of this stuff.

Algore would tell ya'll that this is just what they've been predicting all along.  Global warming is here now and you need to git out yer shovels and plows and get on with it.

It was only around 70 here, yesterday and I was forced to go kayaking and work on my tan.

That's funny.
We woke up yesterday with about 2 inches of that global warming on the vehicles and the lawn, but none on the roads.
But my little bride and I bravely drove to OKC even though Snowmagedon was upon us. :o
The over passes in the city were starting to ice over and some folks had to figure that out the hard way.
But we made our way to the boat store to pick up my new canoe. ;D Now I can work on my tan or hit some back water for some spawning small mouth or maybe just float along and do a little courtin :-* It's going be in the upper 50s Monday and around 70 by the end of the week. I love this climate change SW Oklahoma and N Texas if you don't like the weather stick around. ;D

I love canoes. Have had one for years. Here's my house this morning, and we're supposed to get a little more later today. Who knows? The tree to the left of the pine is a redbud, and is about to bloom, provided the buds don't freeze. It turns purple every year about this time. Great shade tree,
