working on the .41 this weekend

I picked up a .44 bisley about a month ago real reasonable with real stag grips. I bought it because I wanted the grips for my .475 this weekend Im going to put the bisley parts on my 4 5/8s blackhawk and put the blackhawk parts on the .44 and sell it. Should make a cute little .41.

:wink: Sounds good Lloyd. I went bass-ackwards. I had a .41Magnum barrel and cylinder in my parts drawer. Picked-up a .44 magnum Bisley cheap and swapped the parts. Had the local 'smith index the barrel and fit the cylinder. Had the barrel cut to 5&1/2 inches, crowned, and had the sights remounted. Now I've got another fluted Bisley! :-D

well its done and I LOVE IT. The combo of the bisley frame 4 5/8s barrel and a steel ejector housing and chambered in .41 is great!  Put some stock ruger grips on it that John Line. son reshaped for my .475 We took it out and shot it after we had it together and I think this will become one of my favorite handguns. Ruger is really missing the boat by not making factory short barrel bisleys. Id love another one in .44 and .45. Another byproduct of last night is in my opinion the 7 1/2 gun looks worlds better with the black hawk frame on it. The grip frame didnt match up real well on that one but it still looks 100% better in my opinion I wish I wouldnt have promised it to my partener at work. The two tone single six looks great too. For no money at all I turned a sow into a pretty little gun my buddy jeweled the hammer I polished up the grip frame and ejector housing Did a complete action job on it filed the sight into a post and put a set of fancy walnut lett grips I had in the drawer on it. I looked pretty sharp. I wish I was computer savoy enough to post some pics. When I get my two guns back from Clemments Ill have to find a digt. cammera somewhere.
