Elk Herd Update
« on: February 22, 2010, 12:00:14 PM »
The 2009 fourth quarter update for the Clam Lake Elk Herd is now available on the DNR website: http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/wildlife/elk/q4.pdf.

I took particular notice to this sentence.

"They included reinforcement of the Department’s position for
seasonal and permanent closures to protect elk calving and wintering areas..."

The game is always the same. Regardless of what they tell you going in, the bottom line is to close more public lands to the public.
