I put a Marbles tang sight on my ole Winchester 3030 but, the configuration of the base mount is considerably different and has not the mass that one of yours has. The tang you have with hotter loads is painful to the side of the thumb under recoil, but you'll see what I mean, and the area to turn down on the mount will be obvious..

You stoke that cowboy up with stout loads and you had better hang on, especially when using the tang sight. The cowboy has a fairly straight pull, and is a kicker with the stout loads. The base to the Marbles tang sight is to me overly large with edges. If you note my post TM, I said THE SIDE OF THE THUMB. ;)

That is some nice looking leather, especilly on a lever.

Rex, its just a hobby for him. It was buffgun that made it but I don't think he is on gbo much anymore. He can be found more on marlin owners.
