People were relatively happy when they were $249 on sale. The scope is pretty weak, people LOVE the stocks, the rest of the gun is the same.

I have the 308 first thing I did was replace the scope. Did the JB bore paste thing and had it shooting 1.5" at 100 yards with rem green box 150gr. Took a 3 point at 160 yards with it. I got it on sale for $249 and had a $20 rewards point coupon. deffinately wait untill it goes on sale 50 bucks is worth the wait.
PS groups are getting better the more I shoot it

I bought the .308 and .223 when they had their sale plus used my bonus points. Love the camo-synth stock and may even paint the metal to match. The scope is a cheap China import but I figure I'll use it till it falls apart or use them on a .22. Quality is the same as any where else you might buy a Handi but I think the camo stock is a Dick's exclusive. I haven't seen the combo any where else.

The stocks are available from H&R There was a thread about them I think in the shotgun forum It gave prices and parts numbers

They're listed in the FAQs on the retail parts page.

A variable 3-12x40 no name, made in China. It ain't no Leopold but it works. Mine will probably wind up on a .22

Got my 308 for $249 and had a $20 coupon.  The scope is on my new 357 max, got a Swift 3X9 on the 308.  Not played with it much yet, but looks like it is going to like cast bullets pretty well.  Hope so, cause that's all she'll be eating.  I'll keep you guys posted, now that deer season is finally over.  If this global warming ever melts off of my range, I'll get back after it.
