Where Do You............
« on: November 02, 2003, 09:30:33 AM »
Got a question.  Where do you buy rings for your rifles?  I am looking for a place to get rings for two of my Ruger M77's.  Both older, tang safety models.  Changing scopes and the new scopes have larger 44mm A.O. bells.  I'm looking to save a buck if possible and get faster service than Ruger.  Lawdog

Lawdog:  Brownells has a selection of rings that will cover almost any gun manufactured and a support staff to assist 641-623-5401 is tech. #. :D   JIM

I have found Natchez shooters supply to be the cheapest on scopes-rings-bases and they have good shipping to. Don

Lawdog, I'm using Warne Maxima mounts on a couple of Ruger 77's I have.  They are the strongest set-up I've come across so far.  I put a lot of rounds through my rifles (.338WM and .450M) and the Warnes take the pounding.  They are a vertically split ring which I like, but not all do.  I usually get them from Brownells, but they can be ordered direct from Warne(who will charge full retail).  Cabelas also has a small selection.
