I just got home from one of my "candy" stores and one of them followed me home.

Just yesterday I told a friend of mine not to buy a gun, just barrow one of mine and I wasn't going to buy any more as I have more now than I can play with

. The price was to good, $549.95, and after looking at the 45 and the 38, we switched mags, measured barrels and checked feed ramps. Looks like a new barrel, magazine and recoil spring and I will have a switch barrel 1911.

Can't figure out why the 38 is $100 less than the same set-up in a 45. Of course there is no brass, loaded ammo or dies for the 38 Super at most of the stores here. Will have to order some in before I can play with it, maybe give me some time to play with some of the others I haven't shot yet.

. This is my second Taurus, the other is a 44 mag, ported that I have had zero problems with. DP
