scoped BC
« on: December 12, 2009, 04:54:33 AM »
For those of you who have scoped a Buffalo Classic with a 20mm scope, what rings did you use. I can't find one with a very small ocular bell. I worry about the scope being too high, because of the drop in the stock.  Anything that has worked for you, or any suggestions at all, would be much appreciated. Thanks

I used the Weaver V3 in medium rings on my BC Carbine and have a Weaver T15 on my 38-55 Target(no pic) for load work, they both work great, but it depends on you anatomy, many prefer the low comb for their scoped rifles, doesn't work for others tho. Another alternative to stay with a nice checkered walnut stock with a bit higher comb is the Topper Deluxe Classic stock from H&R, I use it on my 405 Win Target.

I know this first one is not a 20mm scope, as you wanted to see, but I post them because a scopes obj. diameter that is not the only limiting factor, when choosing a handi scope.
Here is a pic of a Leupold VXII 2x7x32 in Leupold PRW LO rings on a BC stocked handi. I do have to lift my face up to see thru the scope, but not a terable amount. Being its in lo rings the monly variable is the base height.

Here IS a pic of a Leupold M8 3X also in Leupold PRW LO rings on a handi.
