rear tang sight?
« on: August 30, 2003, 07:23:18 PM »
I was looking through Cabela's, and came across what apears to be a decent tange sight.  ITEAM number xp-21-0169.  Looks traditional, but how funtional is it, or would I be better off spending the money and getting a Davide Pedersoli competition sight?

Thanks,

Will

The best ones can run you a BUNCH of money...the most important thing is to get widage in the base, and NOT the kind that swings the sight from side-to-side on a pivot; this moves the peep in an arc, not a straight line, and the elevation changes as well.

I don't know which one you saw, not having my catalog to hand, but the Sole sight that Cabela's sells is the Pedersoli.  I got mine from them.
