War casualties under Obama
« on: December 02, 2009, 03:04:44 PM »
IED bombs killed 310 during Bush's presidency from 2001 through 2009. 257 such casualties under Obama in 2009. Wake up to the carnage.

Questor I think it would do well to see when the increase in IED casualties actually started. Pre Obama or Post Obama's taking office.

Dee, a better question is when did the strategy on the ground in OIF and OEF shift from traditional military ops to population security.

Crime scence investigation and evidence recovery under obamas plan is going to cost a lot of lives.

Redtail, ever hear of operation catch & release? That's where we let tens of thousands of suspected criminals we caught in Iraq go free. All of them tested positive for gunpowder residue and were reliably associated with an IED implacement usually. Insufficient forensic evidence was grounds for release.

Seriously, when in combat have we had to fingerprint the enemy?

TN, this problem within our structure has escalated starting in Vietnam. I can remember very well my friends saying they could not return fire until the VC WERE IN THEIR WIRE, as they might be friendlies. :o
I would probably even regress to Korea. We have been "nation building" and doing "police actions" since WWII.
Our government has become LORD over the world, on what these little countries can and can't do. When my son returned from Afghanistan, he stated that the Afghans were a bunch of tough little fighters, with absolutely no interest in democray. When returning from Iraq after BOTH tours there, he stated the Iraqi wasn't worth saving.
They would ambush his patrols, and then hold their own children up in front of themselves, hoping the 82nd wouldn't shoot back.

the sickos among them like to stir up a lot of anger, enough that the public will lash out at anyone- usually the US because the terrorists will straight up abduct and torture people.... well the US does on rare occasions too but it's "interrogation" not spite.  examples that come to mind right at this moment are launching mortars from school grounds (little kid schools, not high schools and colleges), putting IED's along wedding and funeral routes so when a patrol stops and consolidates to get out of the way to show respect/right of way- BOOM families and troops killed.  also US forces like to stage O.P.'s on peoples' roofs (observation posts) to spy on a neighborhood for a few hours at a time.  when the troops leave, the terrorists will come in and interrogate the family- maybe just yelling and maybe just cutting people up for co-operation with foreigners.  all that I recall is during bush's tenure- so now that the rules of engagement will be even more retarded because obama is occupying the post of commander in chief- our troops are completely screwed.  remember that obama wants people prosecuted for self-defense shootings in their own homes, so what do you think he wants for the troops who disturb his precious counterparts overseas?

YOU KNOW WHAT HE WANTS, and you know he's all but begging the terrorists to do it.
