I was pokin' around the gun shop today, and he had 3 factory fresh Handi's in one 308,7mm-08, and one .243, all for $249.00 each. If I wasn't working on a mauser action, I'd own the 7mm-08 right now.
They're out there fellas, keep your eye out.

I havnt seen a Remington made one yet, are the frames marked any different? Do they say Illion? I saw some new looking ones at Dicks the other day, but didnt get to handle one, and was curious what the new ones look like.

They look the same, just have new serial number prefixes and are marked Harrington and Richardson, Made in Ilion NY...no more NEF on any of their single shots.

The only thing I noticed was it didn't say SB1 or SB2 on it, are they all now SB2's? They feel lite too, but maybe I'm used to my bbl .223.

Frames have never been marked SB1 or SB2, only barrels and not consistently even then. You can tell the SB1 rifle/combo frames by the marking on the right side of the frame which are normally bare, a shortened version of what's stated on the website.

*Note: The frame of the 44 Mag. (SB1-S44) and the 357 Mag. (SB1-S35) cannot be fit with any other centerfire rifle barrel. They are capable of being fit with accessory shotgun barrels, but their rifle capability is limited to the specific 44 or 357 Mag. barrel that it is shipped on the gun.

My .357 I just bought is brand new old stock.
It's got Gardner written on the receiver so it
came from the old factory.
Hopefully the guys who put this one together
weren't too disgruntled.
