Welcome Dan,  Nice to have you on site!  I have a 243 in a Tika Whitetail delux and it is my favorite rifle.  Accurate and a joy to handle.  The T3's are new, as you know, and the jury is still out on this forum.  Although the guys with the T3's seem to really like them.  I can't speak to the other rifles.  But if you look up all the posts on the Tika rifles you will find that they are very popular.

I'm just starting to use this computer so as i checked different sites i find mostly good coments on tikka's. the gun will be painted camo so the cosmedics don't matter. I've been using a mini-14 and missed too many dog's out 150 yards +. time to try a bolt action. a tikka 3 243 stainless lite will try to be located. any help would be appreciated.                                          Thank you for info long

Dog Hunter,

Try Auction Arms, Gun Broker, Guns America, and there is a site that sells for dealer cost plus 10 per cent. (Can't think of the name)

Dog hunter,

Although I don't own one personally my son does and the new Savages are some of the most accurate factory rifles available today.  Their new Accur-triggers are getting rave reviews from those that have shot them.  I found nothing wrong with the standard trigger either.  I believe your best bet would be either the Savage or the Tikka.  Lawdog

:P Thank's for info on savage's new trigger set-up. I will look at both the t-3 & 110 savage. I just need a good acurate long range rifle that is lite and will knock down coyote's.
