Rifle barrels on 10ga SBR--

Will 45-70, 38-55, 500 S&W, etc  rifle barrels fit on the
10ga/12ga Ultra SB2 big actions?...Been told those rifles also called
SB2 frames, but they look like  smaller barrel breach  diameter than
the SB2 10ga/12ga Ultra in pictures.Ed

Just went through that Ed. The USH 12 ga is built on the 10 ga Sb2. The opening is slightly larger than the Rifle SB2, to allow the 10ga size barrel to fit. And of course, it has a shotgun size firing pin.
Otherwise, the two are the same.

You can fit a rifle barrel in. I did it by glass bedding the receiver to properly align the barrel.
The other issue is the firing pin. It may work fine, mine did. Or you may get some primer flow and make opening the receiver difficult. If that happens and you just have to use the receiver, you can either install a bushing or weld the hole and install the smaller firing pin. I didn't have to do that so I'm not sure if you have to replace the transfer bar parts as well. I doubt you would.

I'm a lazy old fart and would just buy a rifle or an SB2 frame and be done with it.  Ya gotta look at it from the standpoint that it gives you a perfect excuse to get another.
