Im leaving today for Colorado!! Im taking the ole handi 45-70 and my sidekick. Hope to have some good pics to post in two weeks.

I'm not even reading this post right now I'm so jealous. And when you get back, I'll probably post that I have refused to look at your wonderful pictures and have refused to read about your great kill shot's.....'n stuff.  ;D

Well, I have never made the trip but have always talked about going out there since my teens with my dad.  I am now in my late 30's....hmmmm...I better get it going...

Lazer you and I are in the same boat ...

 Been wanting an elk and a antelope for alot of years , even talked with day in my late teens about  .. Well Arkansas now has a lottery for elk hunting here in my state now that just leaves getting out to the plains for my pronghorns ;)

  And I too am jealous , Have a good trip there White and be safe,

well sorry to say I have no pictures to share. We saw alot of elk but nothing big enough to shoot. A great time was had by all and I guess thats what counts.

I was hunting in the san jaun national forest in unit 73. I usually hunt the uncompadre but thought I would try something diffrent.

Gendoc, you may have better luck at that time if they get some more snow and cold weather. It warmed up into the 60's everyday.
