I've been shooting a Mossberg 500 24inch ported with sabots w/o a problem. Accurate set up. I was surprized with how well sabots shoot.

On a side note I grew up in a family that owned and used high end shotguns. Few years back I broke the extractor on the shotgun I was using. It was the toward the end of the season and I rushed out for a "cheapo" replacement. I bought the 500 new, on sale, dirt cheap. It's been one of the best hunting guns I've ever owned. Always goes bang and I hunt hard with it, not worrying about marking it up in the brush.
