SB2-323 24" Bull Barrel Ammo
« on: October 04, 2009, 04:30:09 PM »
I recently purchased an H&R SB2-323 with a 24" Bull barrel 1:9 twist.
All the posts on ammo ( in FAQ ) were dated when the twist rate was 1:12.
Does anyone have any new info on this.
Thanks...

Yeah KV9 ,

Try the Horandy TAP ( Tactical Application Police ) offering in 75gr wt. i had great groups with it @ 100 yrds. And it put a nice adult Dahl Ram and a 257 lb. wild boar hog on the ground with one shot.. That is my go to factory loading for the 1 in 9 223 handi..

  Hope that helps,

Thanks for the info on the Horandy TAP, hard to get right now but I do have some Horandy Match Ammo 223 75 Grain HPBT
that I have for a Mini-14 glad to see that I can use it in the Handi. Now if we could only use the 5.56mm Ammo.
Thanks

I had good groupings with Blackhills Reman 55 gr FMJ ammo.  Not exactly made for killing things, but shot well and the price was right.
