  Blksgurl,
My 475-M83 wears a scope most of the time. For serious load devlopement, I try to scope my handguns if possible. All my loads shoots under 3"@ 50 yds. Many groups under 2", but not everytime.

if im having a good day and with my tired old eyes it isnt very often anymore my 475 will shoot into about an 1 1/2 at 50 yards. It would no doubt do it all the time and maybe even a bit better if you took me out of the equation.

Lloyd, can you describe the revolver that is capable of such fine groups. Also, I notice that FA is now offering the .475 with fixed sights. I asked the factory for the possibility of this a year or so ago and was told no. I am clueless as to what changed their mind. I posted in this forum, under a fixed sight topic, last year expressing my thoughts that a short barrel, fixed sight .475 would be the ultimate mountain "packin pistol". Other than the obvious limit of maybe only two loads that will shoot to the sights point of aim at a given distance, do you see any major negatives to this option? I keep a picture of Dustin kneeling behind that huge bear, holding his fixed sighted .500 Bisley.

actually both my 5.5 inch linebaugh built 475 and my fa 475 are more then capable of 1.5 inch at 50 yards. My fa is a 4 5/8s premier round barrel ajust. sights. My two 500s are both 4 inch vaqueros. One that john built and one that dustin built. Its me thats not capable much anymore. Just for your info dustin shot that bear with his 475 vaquero not a 500. My buddy has the matching gun to dustins. John made them both at the same time.
