« on: October 05, 2009, 06:45:56 AM »
is it possible to get a decent load for the 30-30 with Lil Gun and the heaviest bullet available? Any 30-30 loads with Lil Gun? i have a bunch of 150 hornadys (rn) and the only powder available to me right now is Lil Gun..:-(

I ran some predictions on QuickLoad, even a 65% load of Lil'gun would exceed SAAMI max pressure with a 150gr bullet, you'd best buy a powder that will work in the 30-30, there are lots of them, IMR4198, Rl7, IMR3031, Win 748 are just a few recommended 30-30 powders. ;)

There are a number of great powders for the grand ol 30-30. My ONE powder for this caliber is WW748. For the past 30 years, I have needed no other...

That's what i originally purchased the Lil Gun for.. :) If i just use my Hornet for pest control here onna farm, shouldn't have to reload it for a few years yet also.. ;D have  primers, a bottle of little gun and 500 bullets in case i start getting low..have approximately 4 hunnert factory loads for the Hornet.. ;D
