anybody's ordered any barrels lately?

got a extra frame  goin to send in  for a couple barrels  thought id see how it was going there if anyone has talked to them , ? times for barrels? fill me in

hey shaner,
i'm still wait'n for the 2- 357 barrels
i had ordered and fitted, that i sent july 6...
my card was charged on sept 6
and was told i will have them in 7-10 days.
still ain't seen'um!!!!!

i'd be leery of the barrel program myself....they can't get a simple parts order right from my experience...

well, yall got me wonder'n again....
so i called cs at 8:01 cst.  after talk'n to the computer,
i only had to wait...CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS>>>> 10 seconds !!!!!!!!!
gave the guy the repair#, and he said the barrels and recievers shipped out
tuesday... and i should have them next tuesday.....
oh-boy ;D

Talk about some confusion at H&R.  I just talked with them two days ago and was told the .357 barrels were not in stock.  I asked the woman on the phone to check twice.

Wow, that is nuts.  If they actually shipped to gendoc on Tuesday, he may even see them today.  I wonder which of you has the right story.  Here it goes again.

they probobly used the last two they had and now  will be out  for months, ilam callin today also , will let ya know

Just from my observation and the amount of time since the move, they seem to have settled into their routine on how they will handle the program, so I don't think it will get any better than it is right now.

Seems you will have an extended wait for the most popular barrels, and longer since deer season is upon us.

My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

That's my bet.  The order came in and gendoc got both of them.  Guess I'll wait another two months for the next two to come in!

Seriously, I just tried to call them and stayed on hold over 15 minutes.  I finally hung up.

357 and 44 mag barrels are scheduled for production Sep-Nov, so they should have more in the next month or two, they may be waiting for the new hammer forged facility to get up and running, dunno, my H&R contact is away right now with a family emergency, so updates are kinda on hold now, but that's the latest news.  :-\

well i got thru today to a guy named JB they have no 30/30 , 45/70 . 357mag, or 45/410  and he told me no idea when any will be avalible  possiblly nov -dec

I was in my favorite gun dealer's shop in the last week of August and told him that if he'd get a .30-30 Handi, (wood stock, sighted barrel) I'd buy it.  He told me that was no problem and he'd order one.  I checked back a week later and it was a no-go.  I told him to keep looking.

He's been calling five of his distributors and can't find one anywhere.  His main distributor for Handis told him that he's got 30 rifles (all .30-30) on backorder and as soon as he gets one, my order is the first in line.

I buy several firearms a year from this guy and I'd rather shop with a local than a big box store.  He treats me right and I trust him to tell me the truth.  Still, it's strange that with the hunting season opening up all over the US, we can't seem to find a simple .30-30 Handi.

Im finding the same thing up here.
My guy has a .30-30 and a TDC on backorder for me, Ive had him looking for a TDC 12ga for almost a year and he just cant get one, He can get the trap guns, said they arent as popular so they dont move quite so fast, but he said he sells quite a few, so he keeps em coming in.

Hopefully they will get that ball rolling and put out some product.
