Their prices are like MSRP, SSSRP = SSI's suggested retail price which no one with any common sense pays.  ::)

Supply and demand... they must be selling or they wouldn't have such a large supply. (Guess they could be stupid and thats the reason for the large supply too huh. ::) )

I would pass, keep looking. Heck, you could likely do better on one of the online gun auction sites that those prices!!!

I picked up a Varmint for a member here some time back, GREAT condition for $280 shipped IIRC. Shoots great.

You can't buy a firearm from SSI, they're a distributor, look at Walmart's prices if you want to see what they actually sell for, SSI is Walmart's source for H&Rs, they used to show prices online, but no longer do, they state that prices vary by store.
