buttstock removal

I removed my old buttstock and there appears to be a washer in the bottom. It will not shake out and I don't have a flat head screwdriver long enough to try and pop it out. Any ideas?

I got it out
Two whacks on the recoil pad side with a rubber mallet knocked it loose.

I looked in the FAQ and I could not find a torque value for the buttstock bolt. I'm thinking 35 in/lb?

Tight! I'd say at least spark plug tight, 25-30
ft/lbs
should work, that's about how tight I've been making em for years.

Thanks Tim. I'll go for the ft/lbs instead. It sure was tight to get it off
