Do GM ads make you laugh?
« on: September 16, 2009, 03:16:09 PM »
I find the GM ads amusing because I know the company is never going to get out of trouble. Every time I hear one, it makes me like the company even less than I already do. Other brands look better all the time, and they're responding in the market with good prices and good products made by healthy companies.

I don't recall seeing or hearing any Chrysler ads lately, but I imagine my reaction would be the same for them.

Are you kidding me? I would have never bought a GM even before all this garbage came down.
I never liked them and never will. I agree that the new comercials stink and they are insulting
to everyone's intellegence. I know several people who have owned GM products all thier lives
and they are so disghusted that they will never buy another car or truck from them ever again.
Who could blame them?

I swore off GM a few years ago, but now that obamma and the unions own and operate it I'm convinced that it does not matter what GM does they dont exist as far as I'm concerned. neither do the adds!

My family have owned GMs most of our lives and have had very little problems with them.
At the present we own 7 of them.
Some like me swear by them while others swear at them.
I am sure the same goes for Ford or Chrysler.
If you have had a bad one of any of them it will turn you against them.
I can say the same about Remington ammo.
I have had some bad ammo in the past so I don't use much of it anymore.
Again there are those that say the same thing about other brands.
Someone must like all of the different brands as they are still selling them.

Show me a factory car or truck from one company that the others don't have one that will match it.

Same with guns.
I don't care much for Remingtons (except the old model 30s EXPRESS) but that doesn't make them any worse that any other brand.

Mostly i think it is what you grew up with or have had a good/bad experence with.

I don't think I could have said it any better. 90% of all cars and trucks I have owned have been GM. I happen to like them. I also think Ford is a good company but have only owned a few of them. It all comes down to what you like. If you get a lemmon it will sour you toward that brand. Dale

Well, yeah.  I don't have anything against GM, but I do get a chuckle out of their latest ads where they promise that if you buy one of their rigs and decide you don't like it within 60 days, they'll give your money back.  There has got to be a catch, or two in that little fantasy, or GM is about to lose whatever is left of their butt.  And if their vehicles are built so well now, why limit their drive train to a five year guarantee--make it ten.
