Thanks for the kind words guys. I have a hobart wire feed welder that I got a year or so ago. I have not figured how to put pictures up yet. I may have to figure that out soon. I came across a question this weekend. Does the latch need to be a little rough to latch properly? I shot my new BC barrel and it popped open. It had plenty of latch engagement, but I didnot have more ammo to try after wiping down to insure no oil on latch mechanism. The reason I ask is that I used some 600 grit to smooth up shelf when I finished fitting. Not having ruled out oil, I still wondered if too smooth would it be too slippery like has oil on it? Does any one have experience on this?
Quick, with that pin filing alignment tool you built I would not be too worried about doing some welding on it. But it seems that the JB stik repair seems to work very well and is quick and easy.
