Just read on line that our shooting range in Galveston will have its Grand (Re)Opening next Sunday Sept 13. Significant date since IKE took it out last Sept 13th. Benches probably will not be totally ready but don't sweat the small stuff. There is a nice range about 20 miles away but it was not the same to me. The Galveston range is nothing spectacular but I feel more at ease there. Now I can put a tweek on my Handi 30-30 and take it to the range the next day or so and test to see it there was an improvement or work up a load for the 30-06 and test it out fairly quickly.
This is just another small step on the road to recovery for the island but it is one that I can really appreciate. Just had to tell someone.
