Savage 99A Takedown in 250-3000
« on: August 31, 2009, 05:01:38 PM »
I have a New In Box, Unfired, Model 99 that is a Takedown Model chambered in 250 Savage (250-3000). I think it was manufactured in the 80's. I was hoping that someone here could give me an idea of what this thing might be worth. I have had local "experts" tell me it is worth anywhere from $100 to several thousand dollars. I am thinking of selling it and just want an idea of what to ask for it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Perception is everything. For instance, a crowded elevator smells different to a midget.

have you checked the auction sights, this is normally a good starting point as to the value of something

Yes I checked several of them and while there are a lot of 99TD's in this caliber, they are all early models. None are of recent manufacture like this one and definately none are listed as NIB. So I am kind of at a loss as to what would be a fair price for this one.
