Are we done paying Blagojevich?
« on: July 18, 2009, 04:39:27 AM »
Has all state of Illinois payments and wages stopped going to Blagojevich? I know he still capable of getting retirement(until convicted on federal charges) from his tenure but, has all other payments stopped?

Steve, I have talked to a couple of people (both State employee's) in the last 10 days or so who claim wages to Blagojevich were stopped upon arraignment. Pretty sobering (for him) considering the cost of his housing. I guess that his wife Patty had to go live in the jungle hahaha. I about shot my TV when I heard those liberals talk about how tough & corageous she was during her survivor exploits. This was well past the stage of wanting to puke as they were just trying to drum up national sympathy for this pair. After Rod was (processed) on that great day, he recieved a security escort home payed for by the state but then they told him...You Are on your own buddy ;D ;D ;D

In other State news, I hear that the FOID dept is caught up on a large backlog that they had at the start of this year so renewals & new applications should be much quicker.

I just got mine after quite a long wait. I was expecting this as it happens every time. But my son's application was returned, the signature was not completely visible so he has to fill out another one. At least they gave me a document number and I don't have to pay again.

The important thing to remember when applying for a foid, or doing the renewal is to mail it yourself. This is because...

1. The outlet where you filled out your app may wait till they have several before mailing them to the State.

2. When the state recieves such a bundle (called just that) it will be processed as a whole (lets say 50 apps) and if there is ONE mistake on One application, they will all be sent back to the outlet (walgreen or other)
So that they can isolate & contact the parties to correct the mistakes.
