topper forend screw

i got a new to me 20 ga topper jr barrel and am wondering what the thread size is on the forarm screw a normal 1/4 x 20 screw is too coarse

It's probably ¼-28 as listed in the FAQs.

Mike, that barrel is an older one that had the flat head or straight blade type head for the forend screw. I should have mentioned that in the sale, but it slipped my mind. It should be 1/4-28tpi (fine thread) as Tim said.
