Perhaps a decision I will regret
« on: July 07, 2009, 09:16:25 AM »
As I have made abundantly clear on this forum many times, nay incessantly: I am a huge Michael Jackson fan. But I decided not to go to his memorial festival in LA because I'd rather have more reloading components. Did I make a big mistake?

Did you go to the festival? How was it? I know lots of other GB regulars are Jackson fans too, especially on this forum.

Yep !
You can always buy supplies ( and the rest of us could split up what you don't buy ) but he only dies once . They will most likely only plant , i mean bury him once ( not sure in his case as if a few $$$$$ can be made someone will dig him up fer sure ) and you have missed it ! What a pity a few reloads ment more than old moon walk himself .
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

Someone said that since he was mostly plastic now, mattel was gonna melt him down and make little toy soldiers so now the little boys could play with him.  ::)

I’m sure there are some here that liked his music, but I find it hard to believe many here were a M.J. worshiper, that would go to his funeral.  All he was, was a talented pop singer, period.  On top of that he was a drug addict, a pedophile, and someone that really had some issues.

If you had just been born last night, you would swear M.J was a king that had just died, from all the fuss and hype from the media. It’s a crying shame what is being made out of his death. If one of our soldiers gets killed in action, or in an accident you barely hear a peep about it.
We still have to hear about Elvis, who was another drug addict, that could sing.
I couldn’t believe the number of people trying to get tickets to his funeral service. Now I can finally understand how Obama got elected. Where is the line for tickets to a soldiers funeral? Or the funeral line for the Father or Mother that woke up to an alarm clock every mourning, and went to work for 10 or 12 hours a day to support and raise a family with good morals. These kind of people are the ones that deserve recognition. Not some rich, pedophile singer. I’m already sick of hearing about him, and I figure we will have to listen to all the M.J. crap for sometime to come.  Next we will have to listen to  people say, “I just saw M.J.”  Some peoples views toward intertainers in this country are really twisted.

Many were there for a photo OP, for self promotion. Sharpton & JJ come to mind, as if it was a black issue, which it wasn't. MJ did not think he was a black issue when he was alive.
