My new cannon project
« on: June 13, 2009, 04:46:44 PM »
Well she is coming along fine for a rookie builder, I got the elevation screw from Dominick today and installed it Great job he did for me building it!...(yea it is a plug but he does great work) I got the axle cap put on and the trailer ring too.....I am tired! The Texas heat here is so bad a saw a coyote chasing a rabbit and they were both walking...........smile. Anyway just thought some one might want to see it...nothing great but it will be a nice shooter....KA-BOOM!!

Looks like it's coming together real good.  It's always good to see pictures of new builds in progress.
Thankyou for the update.

RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Centermass, thanks for posting the pic of the barrel, it's a looker. What's the OAL, and the bore size of the tube?

28" long with a 3" OD and a 1 1/4" ID....Makes a very loud bang for your bucks...Almost finished with the metal work on the barrel mounts. Will post when done.......... ;D Oh I had to change the barrel mounts too due to the test shots bent them. I cut out places for the truinnions to fit into the wood so that shouldn;t happen again..live and learn........BUT MOST OF ALL>>>>>>REMEMBER!

Great carriage. I am about to post pics of our new cannon. The barrel is pretty much mounted but we are waiting on wheels.
