That is a mighty fine looking 9422 ya got there.  I would like to pick one up, but the price they got on some of them now is waaaaay outta line.  Cabela's in town has one for $900.00 and a local shop has one in a 22 mag for $1,000.00.  Not gonna put out that kind of money for one when I can drool over pictures of nice ones like yours. ;D  Again, ya got a very nice piece.  DP

Glad you like the saddle ring.  The big thing is to tell us more about that peep sight.  Don't recognize it.

Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you like the rifle - but I only bought it.  ;)

I used to moan about gun prices - I moaned for the more than 20 years since I started looking for a 9422XTR-Magnum like this (w/o seeing even ONE).

I've since come to realize that the reality is that: I buy guns with green paper - which I've always been able to get more of; and so I bit the bullet and "paid the freight" for this XTR at a New England gun show last Winter.
Hey, I just don't have all that much "waiting period" left in me !

I'm glad I did it - the rifle's been worth every penny.

As soon as I got it home, I ordered/installed a New England Custom Gun (NECG) Grooved .22 Peep Sight, a clip-on that mounts in the scope grooves, along with a taller FireSight fiber-optic (FO) front sight, and a rear sight dovetail slot filler.

The NECG is "ok", but very Germanic, and "blockier" than, say, a Williams WGRS.
I'm still acclimating myself to it.
