I have noticed it too, especially dumb white Dads. It is very obvious, everyone else knows more than them.

I try not to watch much TV, but back about 20 years ago, going through a divorce/child custody battle, I couldn't help but notice how common both shows and ads were that portrayed men as complete idiots. Of course, nearly all the charactors on TV were white, hence white men being the dummies.
Now-a-days, one of the ads that always gets to me are the ones for some sort of burglar alarm / monitering system. All the perps who break in, attempt to break in, etc. are all white.
We ( white men ) are simply a "safe" target to insult.

The one that made me stop in my tracks was the alarm system commercial with the family upstairs (man and wife).  Someone breaks in downstairs and Brinks is called.  Wife answers the phone.........

On another website, someone joked that the Brinks guy was saying, "hold on ma'am while we send someone with a pair".

Locally we have a commerical for a hearing aid product that says it works well for hunters, but they won't show a firearm in the commerical because its not Politically correct ::)

I've noticed the same thing.  I always mute commercials.

TV commercials go out of their way to portray white men in a negative way. Sometimes it is by picking less photogenic men to play the 'stupid white guy' part, or by picking a non white guy to play the serious thoughtful type. This is often while a white woman is present.
Whites are often presented as the fool, while blacks rarely if ever shown as foolish. Every TV show must now have it's 'strong smart black man'.

I've also noticed that when black men are featured in commercials, the woman in the same commercial is always lighter colored than he is.

I never noticed any of that. perhaps it's because I flip during commercials.  I'll have to pay closer attention.
BTW, I like the Sonic guys, I find them to be quite funny.  But my favorite has to be "Cooper", from the airline recervation company.  I can't remember the company but I sure remember Cooper.

how many people have notice the movie where the black people have to show white people to loose-up.it like we live so up tight that we are wrong and then they show up and we have to act like they do.

Simple matter of trying to make the white person seem dumber, so that minority's feel better. Works that way with alot of women. If their not sure of themselve's, make the other person out to be dumber or ill informed. That makes them feel superior. Consider the source, then do as I do. Ignore them.  gypsyman

That is a good point too.

I own a watch so that I can show up on time.
