I went to shoot my S&W 38 special today and took my Marlin 795 with me. I was shooting at our local 25 yard indoor pistol range which doesn't have the most stable bench for rifle shooting. I tried a couple of brands of ammo out of the 4 or 5 that I took. It seemed to like the Remington 40 grainers that come in a 500 or 550 count little bucket. I got a 10 shot group that measured 1 1/8" off of the "shaky" bench. I know I can improve when I get on a more stable bench with my sand bags and possibly a better scope. I will report back then.
