Hello Everyone...
« on: June 18, 2009, 03:30:01 AM »
I am proud to say that I am an owner of a new Savage 111FCXP3 .30-06
I have always wanted an accurate high powered rifle.
It came with a 2 piece mount system so I was unable to mount my scope. There was not enough area on the scope to move the rings for proper mounting. I ordered a one piece B-Square.

You have done well, the Savage is a great rifle and the 30-06 is well, it is what it is--" all American "
Best of luck, Bill439

You did not say why the scope would not fit your rifle . Was it a matter of spacing or was the bell of the scope too large to clear the barrel  . It it was spacing  then an extended ring would have solved the problem .

It was the space between mounts. They are too far apart. You can see in the pic what I am talking about. I read that this is a common problem for some to gain the correct eye relief.

As you can see, there is not enough space on the tube to move the rings.
Hopefully the 1 piece with resolve this problem. I dont have money for a new scope at the moment.

Here is the link to the B-Square mount.

I have used those mounts on a short action Stevens. You may still have to move your rings some to get your eye relief correct, but they should work. Good Luck and Good Shooting

I'm pretty confident the one piece will work just fine.
Its just driving me nuts waiting for it to get here.
I had sold some stuff on ebay to pay for it. So I had to wait for the money from paypal to transfer to my checking account.
Now I have to wait for the mount to arrive.
I JUST WANT TO SHOOT MY NEW RIFLE!!!!!    ;D

Well I received the mount base today and unfortunately its the wrong on.
I need the ROUND REAR. Not the FLAT REAR.
Natchez has the wrong wording on their site.
Oh well. Its going back to Natchez so they can send the right one.
