Good  morning Montanan, MT_Sourdough, dpe, Southpaw, Forster, Atlaw, pab1, newstart2k, Skunk, kitchawan kid, lurker, CJ, Bilmac, thxmrgarand, Syncerus, Mcwoodduck, Brennemanj83, Old Shooter,TY22, Canon6, burntmuch, Grimjim, CJ, Bilmac, rparsons934 wis_sharpshooter, BBF and Blue Duck.

The weather has got nice and I have been busy. It 57 degrees and clear blue skies.

I got up yesterday and headed north for the Streemlight Flashlight Shoot.  Every year a group of guys who work for Streamlight come up and go gopher shooting with Southpaw and my friend, Steve.  I help Steve if there are more shooters than will fit in Steve's truck.   Well two of the shooters were no shows, so I wasn't needed. I went out the Taft farms Retirement estate.  Had to check out Ernie's progress on his bowling ball mortar.  I am his consultant on the project.  He isn't doing anything I tell him and its turning out just fine.  :)   Proof testing this week end.

While at Ernies I picked up a load of dirt for my raised bed garden. I brought the dirt home and put it in the frame.  My lead gopher dog started sniffing around in the dirt and then started frantically digging in it.  Must have some seed gopher in it!   Then the little dog jumps in it and treats it like her own personal cat box!! She shouldn't have done that when I had a garden hose in my hand.

After picking up the dirt I went back to Steve's for lunch and we fired the Dom Dictator.  One of the guys took this video of us shooting popcans into the pond.  Watch close and you will see the can in flight for just a brief fleeting second and then look at the right side of the screen for splashdown.

Well I guess I will build a fence around the garden today.

Douglas that was and looked like alot of fun, for sure and for certain.  Now today, I finally got out with my old Taz 17 22 LR and put a hurt on the Richardson Ground critters that are all over the place.  Boy today they were doing back flips to the tune of 22 LR come marching home again....  ;D

Well we sent a few on to better pastures in the sky today.

Hello everybody,
Today, we loaded up the kids and went up to Garnet Ghost town.  I have never been to that ghost town before. It tells some interesting history for sure.  I like standing in the buildings and looking out the windows.  It makes my imagination come to life.
Then we went to Harpers Ponds by Clearwater.  Kids swam and I fished a little bit.
We saw a herd of elk playing in the irrigation sprinklers by the Paws Up Saddle Club.
In the early evenning, we headed home via the Jonsrud/nine mile prarie route.  We had stopped for a little stretch when a game warden came along and warned us about the grizzlies that have been regularly in the area we were playing in.
I laughed and thanked him.  He didnt laugh.  He said he wouldnt get out of a car in this area without bear spray.  I thanked him again.  He repeated himself again.  Well, I got the message finally and we loaded up the kids and skidaddled.
Hey Douglas,  how far do those things reach?
Hey Montanan, what is the difference between the Richardson and the Columbian?
Well, I need to go look for some evenning elk outside of town now.
   You'all have yer'selves a good weekend
Gotta git'me a bigger ice box

We were shooting about 140 yards yesterday using 250 grains of Cannon grade powder.  Max load for this cannon is 300 grains.
