I dont know much about guns but I just purchased several becase it was a great deal.  among them was a   remington woodmaster 300 savage it appears to be in great shape,  with just a few scratches on the bottom of the stock.  this gun has not been shot in a very long time but was taken care of.   Can anyone tell me what the gun is worth?

scotraid:

That gun is absolutely valueless, and you should get rid of it right away.  As an act of human kindness, I'm willing to take it off your hands for what you have in it.  I'll provide my e-mail address so you can make arrangements to ship it to me.

I can't tell you the value of that gun, however, I know that if I ever get a chance to pick one up without breaking the bank I'll do it in a minute.

Congratualtions on your new acquisition! :toast:

Scotraid :  Your rem mod 81was manu between 1936-1950 with a total of 56,091 being manu. value in 98% would be $350 down to 60% at $150 the 300 sav. cal wasnt added until 1940 hope this helped.   JIM

:D
Congratulations. The Model 81 is a nice handling rifle. I wish I had purchased the last one I saw for sale in the 1980s.
