better sights for 22/410 combo

looking for a better rear sight for the .22 bbl; any suggestions? I'm gonna replace the post in the front sight with a home made firesite; mount red tru glo shotgun site on a post & replace front post, using factory base.  But I need something better than the plastic factory rear sight; any suggestions.
is there a reciver sight that I can mount, then remove the apeture when using the shotgun?  thanks

If it's a dovetail mount I would probably go with a Lyman or Marble's folding leaf rear sight.

If it's drilled and tapped for a scope mount then a Williams Guide receiver Sight will screw on to the barrel using the existing holes.  The WGRS for the T/C Contender matches the hole spacing and the barrel contour of the Rossi .22's and .357 mag rifles.  I have one on a .357, needed to go to a taller front sight than what came on the gun.
