Read an article in todays paper where an environmental group is seeking Endangered Species Status for Walruses due to Global Warming.  Their hopes is that it will prevent off shore drilling in Alaska.  Read the very lat sentence.



Here we sit on all this oil both in Alaska and in the lower 48, but we have let the environmentalist wackos lock it all up.  We are doing nothing about it either.  Where is the outcry to drill for this oil.  We have enough known oil reserves to run the country for the next 30 years, without importing a drop from the middle east.

Yep, just like the "spotted owl" fiasco of 10 or so years ago...about ruined much logging in the Pacific N/W. Make some critter a "poster boy", and the wacko's use it to create absolute havoc on the economy.

Seems to me a good solution to the energy problems would be for the liberals to quit using any energy that is not considered "green."  I would even go further than that; anyone who voted for the Obamanation should not be allowed to use gasoline, oil, or any oil derived products, or the energy produced from it.  The same should apply to coal.  Let em put their action where their silly minds are.

Increase energy costs then give the poor government aid so they don't freeze.

Increase gas costs so they cannot afford to work and live out where they can grow food and hunt and fish, and have to get government aid. Rig it so they have to move to town and vote Democrat. (And rich people like Ted Turner can buy up their land for an ego estate.)

Increase taxes to pay for it and small businesses can't afford to hire anyone. More poor people to vote for whoever gives them more benefits.

Increase taxes on big businesses and bleed them to death. More poor people needing benefits.

I have an idea...the oil platforms could install "islands" on pontoons around their base.  That way the polar bears and walrus'sss will have something to sleep on at night since all the ice is melting.  Win Win, right?  (If they actually end up doing that I want a royalty.)
