Rim Fires Need Nice Wood!!!!
« on: April 04, 2009, 09:00:59 AM »
Yes even 22L.R. need to look nice! I made this set from American Black Walnut that was given me by some nice folk I buy wood from. This Tender sees the woods for hunting tree rats. I also made the grip with a large hill for sitting on a heel bag because it also sees the bench for target shooting.

Excellent work Dave.  Real pretty.
If I agreed with you then we would both be wrong.

I'll agree with that.

Nice set you whittled there Dave.

I designed mine but had Justin Sip make them for me.   I stopped in several times and he fitted the grip to my hand perfectly.   Screwbean Mesquite and Birdseye Maple caps, both exhibition grade from Fred's personal wood stash.

Evolution at work. Over two million years ago the genus Homo had small cranial capacity and thick skin to protect them from their environment. One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus

I love your woodwork.
I have attached 2 pics of my T/C's with custom woodwork by High Plains Gun Stocks   and Ole GA Jims.
I love these 2 pistols and I can tell you enjoy yours , too.
