NEF 10 Gauge SB2 frame for mounting rifle barrels?
« on: April 21, 2009, 02:57:17 AM »
I am new to the NEF/H&R world. Can you use a NEF 10 Gauge SB2 frame for mounting rifle barrels on it?

Thanks

No, the barrel swell on rifle barrels are too small to fit the larger frame opening properly, and the large firing pin and hole aren't compatible with high pressures, plus the side walls of the frame are much thinner than an SB2 rifle frame.

Tim,

Thank you for the information. I would rather find out now than later saying both the frames are SB2.
