Sounds like you got a good deal on your Handi.

I have shot both out of my .204 and they did good.  I haven't shot them for groups but both have popped prairie dogs out to 250+ yards.  The 40gr seemed to hold their own better when the wind picked up.  I also shoot the 40gr v-max reloads from www.wisconsincartridge.com  They are currently out of them and won't have any until next spring.

Go to  www.rugerhunting.com  and you will find a lot of reloading data on the 204 Ruger round. It is one fine prairie dog shooter

I would get a box  each 32 grain and the 40 grain Hornady's that will give you some ideal as to what your gun prefers. Mine has always liked the 32 grain factory hornadys. I just got my reloading supplies and I have found it hard to beat the 1/2" groups I get with the 32 grain Hornadys. I have good 1/2'' and less with the 39 grain Sierra blks bullets  with Reloader 10x. There is other factory offerings such as the Winchester and Remington  brands but I have not used them. Either way nice to have choices to choose from.      Good luck ,  Jack

Mine has eyes when I use the 32gr V-max---why shoot anything else?  Does a real number on Yotes and Pdogs.  Love that .204!
