quickdtoo,
I was mistaken, factory loads do okay, the rounds that stick are my reloads for my 22-250 Tikka. They would go all the way into the chamber, but would not allow the barrel to lock up or eject.............thanks..........

like tim said..... case sizing difference.

look at one of the spent casings from a previous reload, do you see a line about 1/4'' up from rim ?

your tikka has fire formed the casings to its chamber.

full length size'n dies will only go down so far, and thats the line i'm talk'n bout.

i've experianced it the hard way.  bolt gun left-overs are not a healthy diet for the handi's.

thats just my onion---- ;D

proly others will chime in....

I'd full length resize just enough to bump the shoulder back so the sized chambered case is flush to the chamber face and load em up.  ;) On a couple of my chamberings I've had to take a little off the top of the shell holder to bump them back enough, RCBS offers shell holders of different heights if you need them, but I just flat grind them on my bench belt sander.

Yep I'm learning this too. It's best to buy new brass or factory ammo and then harvest the brass. Had the same problem with a 243. Guy at the range gave me a bunch and i resized and loaded. 3 would not chamber. Good thing it was a target and not food.
