Any help would be great the scope I'm getting is a simmons whitetail classic 6.5-20x50 I'd like to get weaver rings or what is prefered. Again thanks.

The size of the eye bell on the scope and it's position over the hammer is what will determine the ring height. It is almost a trial and error thing unless you can find someone who has the exact setup you have.  I think mostly high will work out, in some cases medium works even better.  Larry

As Larry said, the position of the hammer in relationship to the ocular bell and/or power ring is critical to scope mounting, even another identical scope mounted fore or aft slightly will change the requirement to use medium or high, sometimes even extra high rings, see RINGS in the FAQs and Help sticky, the FAQs are a good place for newbies to spend lots of time reading, that's why they're there.  ;)

Well now that I looked with my eyes didn't see it the first 100 times lol. I see you have the same scope I'm about to buy interesting. I guess I'll order mediums and highs just to be safe. Do you like the scope lol.

It's Ok, I don't care for the krinkle finish, the reticle is a bit course, but it's clear and bright, but it's on the spare scope shelf now tho.

I've gone to high and extra high. You might need the extra high for the  50mm. FYI Walliy World has some weaver 4x4 QD rings for $10 and some change. I use Warne rings on heavy recoil barrels.
