I ordered a Beeman R9 Goldfinger in .20 cal.

I ordered a Beeman R9 Goldfinger in .20 cal. from Steve, Pomona Airguns. He does airgun tune-ups but said that I should shoot the gun for a while, It might not need it!  Steve said that it would take 50 to 100 shots for the gun to settle down and even talked me out of getting the tune-up done at this time. His cost is $90.00.

I just hope that it is quit and accurate..............LOL

Harpy,

The R9 in .20 is a great combination and should give you years of enjoyment.  Steve is right about the break-in time, just be patience.  I remember it took almost that many shots before either my Crow Magnum or the wife's Super 12 settled down and gave the accuracy they are noted for.  I consider the .20 to be the best of both worlds for hunting and target work.  It is the minimum caliber that California will let a person use for taking Turkeys.  Have fun and good shooting.  Lawdog

R-9 Goldfinger as a collector

When I look at all the airguns out there I think the Goldfinger is destined to be a collector.  The only other rifle that comes in a combo is the 40 RWS.  The goldfinger is a combo that includes a gold trigger, a Banner 4X12 scope and a neat muzzle break.  They also did the cover over the scope holes as there are none.  Every thing else has to be put together by you and these are the only rifles coming out of production that seem to have some collectibility to me.  Course Ime only a 2 year airgunner and could be missing the point altogether.  Any other opinions on this?  Thanks.
