got another keeper
« on: February 22, 2009, 01:40:29 PM »
i bought a 25-06 off sombody from here a long time ago and didnt really shoot it until just the last two weeks. well my first load with 100gr SMK and rl 19 gave me a nice dime size group with my first load , but with me i cant stop there i had some burger 115gr vlds that i just had to try . i loaded them up with a stiff load of rl 22  and my first five shot group shot in the .3s  with the next two groups shooting .4 and the last one was shooting .2 but i had a flyer that moved it out to just over a inch , i think i go it a little to hot.

either way everytime i try to get back to bolt guns these dog gone handis keep bringing me back

am other thing i had a leupold 25X fixed BR scope on it and it just looks strange have a scope on a gun that worth 4 times as much as the gun
curiosity killed the cat , but i was lead suspect for a while

That is some nice shootin'!!

Dont fret about the scope on your handi, if you cant see it how are you going to hit it???  Almost all my handis wear expensive glass. Lots of folks here do too. Your in GOOD company!!  ;D ;)

Mitchell, out here it's called "putting a $500.00 saddle on a $50.00 horse", but neither one is worth a damn without the other.Good shooting  .      Doug
